SAL Navigation is thrilled to announce the securing of another significant SPU-100 contract. Hyundai Heavy Industries has placed an order for an additional 28 new building vessels via ILJIN AND Co., Ltd. This achievement is a direct result of our successful collaboration with ILJIN AND Co., Ltd. and follows our previous substantial contract for 26 vessels.

“It is the relationship and trust in our products that led to this opportunity,” says Naoto Aida, Regional Manager of SAL North Asia. “Continuing from the last order of 26 new building vessels, SAL and ILJIN AND Co., Ltd. have won an additional order from Hyundai Heavy Industries. We are very grateful that SAL is becoming a recognized brand for the NPU and are pleased to be adopted by a major shipyard like Hyundai Heavy Industries.”

Deliveries will start from August 2025 and will equip the vessels with SAL Navigation’s state-of-the-art high-precision navigation system. This system is designed not only to meet but to exceed the stringent requirements set by the Panama Canal Authority (ACP), setting a new standard for advanced navigation systems used in ports globally. Aida concludes, “We are looking forward to building even stronger relationships in the future. I would like to thank Mr. S. W. Park from Hyundai Heavy Industries and Mr. B. W. Choi from ILJIN AND Co., Ltd. for their great work and support of SAL Navigation.”
