SAL Navigation is pleased to announce the securing of a significant framework agreement with a major shipyard located in Jiangsu Province, China. Under this agreement, SAL Navigation will supply its advanced positioning system, the SAL SPU-100, for upcoming shipbuilding projects. The framework agreement has a duration of up to three years, with the possibility for extension.
“Entering the Chinese market, known for having the world’s largest shipbuilding volume, represents a major achievement for SAL Navigation,” says Naoto Aida, Regional Manager, SAL North Asia. “China’s sustained economic growth presents excellent opportunities for further expansion of our maritime technology solutions, and we look forward to building a strong partnership in the region.”
With this contract, SAL Navigation continues to strengthen its position in the region.
China becomes the third major Asian market where shipbuilding companies have adopted the SAL SPU-100 system as their standard, following earlier successes in Japan and South Korea.
“The strong competition in the market highlights the outstanding performance and reliability of our SAL SPU-100 system. Securing this contract underscores that our technology stands out in meeting the rigorous demands and expectations of today’s shipbuilding industry,” concludes Aida.
